Although I haven't visited this place in the longest time, I was still able to receive a lot of comments via email. I haven't been writing ever since last year, but readers still manage to pop up in the weirdest of places (such as in Jaejoong's Lyric, a fic I wrote 3 years ago...). And even though the five members as we know them have split up into two separate groups, you guys still ship YunJae like there's no tomorrow!

If, in the past, you have read any of my fics and were kind enough to recommend it others,

Thank you! Because of you, people still manage to read my fics, even though I haven't updated anything for months!

I'm really touched, and I love you guys <333

Sunday Morning
Author:
love_cassiopeia
Summary: [Based on Maroon 5's Sunday Morning] You love it when his guard is down. And you know for certain that it would do his self esteem no good if you told him that he, Jung Yunho, leader of one of the most successful musical acts, still snores when he sleeps and battles you for the covers every morning. But you love to see him like this, nonetheless. What you see before your eyes no one else will see—or have, for that matter, and that makes your morning all the better.
Rated: PG-13
Genre: Romance/Song-fic/One-shot
Pairing(s): YunJae

It's been forever since I last posted something here! I tend to forget about this place a lot nowadays, even though I used to come here every day during the past few years. I think I've been feeling a bit numb lately, and I haven't found anything to blog or write about. Luckily though, I've been listening to a lot of new music nowadays, and I've been learning new songs on the violin and piano, which I haven't played for a long time. I guess music has made me feel a little less numb these days. Especially discovering old music and making it new again.

So I though I'd share with you one of my favourite bands to listen to nowadays:

Keane
Keane_soren_train2-1_large

If you don't know who they are, Keane is a band from England who is probably most well-known for their 2004 single, "Somewhere Only We Know." I was still very young when I first heard their music (wow, seven years ago!), but for some reason, their songs have a quality to them that makes them trascend time, and I never seem to get sick of them. When I first saw Keane perform live, I was really surprised because they were a band that didn't even have a guitar in it! They only had voice, drums, and what makes them really unique, piano. They're not the type of rock that is really heavy, layered with guitar solos or a loud bass line. But their music is still very upbeat. They have a lot of catchy, upbeat songs, where the piano is played as successive chords with a fast drum part, as well as heartbreaking ballads which continue send chills up my spine. They're amazing musicians, all of them. And if you listen to the songs, you can hear the amazing musical talent that goes into them. The lead singer, Tom Chaplin, has a beautiful voice and a rather haunting one as well. There's not too much decoration to his voice, which to my surprise, really works with the piano and drum combo. He has a wide range and emotions seem to jump out so effortlessly whenever he sings. I admit that his voice is probably one of my favourites out of all the singers I've heard.

I recommend their Hopes and Fears album, which, in my opinion, doesn't contain one bad song. As well as Under the Iron Sea, which perhaps carries a heavier message than Hopes and Fears (the lyrics are a little angrier), I suppose. These are the songs I think should definitely listen to:

1. This is the Last Time
2. Somewhere Only We Know
3. Hamburg Song
4. Everybody's Changing
5. Perfect Symmetry
6. Is it Any Wonder

I really hope you check them out! Their music is very inspiring, and probably was the reason that got me sleeping with my earphones on again!

I just checked my test grade online, and apparently I got an A on my final exam for my Rhetoric class! Wohoo! That guarantees me an A for the semester, which is great! Perhaps all this fanfic writing really didn't go to waste after all...

I have math tomorrow, which I don't really need to worry about, since math is like second nature to me, and because I have a high enough grade in the class not to worry about the final XD

Happy birthday my lovely Kim Jaejoong, by the way! Hope you'll stay healthy and happy =D

God I haven't posted here forever. Miss me? I certainly miss you guys.

3. Teachers, for helping me pass one of the most crucial tests of my life, and helping me define my goals.
4. Music, for keeping me sane when I'm at my worst, and for bringing so much excitement and colour to my life ^^
5. TVXQ, for opening so many doors for me, including writing, new friends, and new music. I first started liking you guys during Thanksgiving 2006, so it's been an entire 4 years!

Hiatus

will be back 2010.10.16

I know I told many of you that I would have Pulsatilla updated every Saturday. Unfortunately, I have a major test in the beginning of October, and I'm just not able to adhere to that routine. Please understand. For now, this journal is on hiatus, and you won't be able to contact me through Livejournal. I will resume updating on October 16.

Please understand, and sorry for the inconvinience.

Definition: The Pulsatilla is a deciduous perennial flower native to Europe and Asia that grows in the leftover nutrients of a dead plant. It is usually grown to replace another plant. It is capable of curing diseases and may be used in remedies.

Their breaths synchronized as their bodies did a dance with a choreography mapped inside each other’s minds by an unexplainable telepathy between them. It was useless to over-think a single action. Jaejoong merely thought of it as magic—if there was such a thing in the world.Collapse )
